ACTS is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service. It's a parish-based retreat and ministry. The goal of the retreat is to deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ, to receive spiritual renewal, to give new meaning to Sunday liturgy and your prayer life, and to build strong and lasting relationships with other members of our St. John the Baptist community.
The Men's ACTS retreat is a mission of St. Jude Catholic Church in Benton and is hosted by lay members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and other local parishes/churches.
Diocesean Policy requires that all retreat participants must be 18 or over at the time of the retreat.
When is the retreat?
The retreat will be held January 25-28 at Maryhill Renewal Center in Pineville, LA. Roundtrip transportation is provided for all participants. We will depart from St. John at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, and the retreat will conclude following the 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. John on Sunday, January 31.
How much does it cost?
The cost of the retreat is $200 (room and board). A deposit of $75 must be submitted to reserve your place. The remaining balance of $125 is due on Thursday, January 25 before departing the church.
Please note: Financial difficulties should not prevent anyone from attending the retreat. If you are unable to pay all or part of the fee, financial arrangements can be made by notifying the retreat director, Hank Boggs at 318-218-8652.
