come fire up your summer and Join us as we celebrate Pentecost with Mass and a church-wide picnic at San Miguel Park!

Our 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at San Miguel Park in Zwolle, followed by an all-day picnic with games and activities for all ages.

To help us plan for food, we ask families to RSVP below with how many from their family will attend.

What Should I Bring?

Hamburgers, hot dogs, and soft drinks will be provided. 

Families are asked to bring the following items based on the first letter of your last name.

A = Mayonnaise
B = Bottled water
C-D = Ketchup
E = Mustard
F-H = Pickles
I-M = Snacks
N-Z = Dessert

We also recommend sunscreen, bugspray, hats, and comfortable but modest clothes for the day.

How Can I Help?

We are looking for volunteers!  If you can assist in any of these areas, please be sure to check those boxes on the RSVP form or contact Angela Couvillion via text at 318-512-7615.

What Does It Cost?

Admission to San Miguel for the day will be free to those attending Mass and the church picnic.  Simply tell the gate attendant that you're with St. John Church.

How do I get to San Miguel?

From LA 6 and LA 191 (Toledo Town): Take LA 191 North 3.4 miles to LA 1215. Turn left; go 3.6 miles to crossroad (Shell station). Turn right onto Carters Ferry; go 2.5 miles to San Miguel Rd. Turn left onto San Miguel Rd.; go 0.3 miles to entrance. 
From Zwolle, LA: Take LA 475 out of town to junction with LA 191. Turn left (South) onto LA 191; go 3 miles to Carters Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Carters Ferry Rd.; go 0.3 miles to park entrance.

CAN I INVITE MY friends and family?

Yes!  This is a great opportunity for us to share our Catholic faith with our friends and neighbors.  We've even created a flyer that you can share with them!
Picnic Invitation

I can't make it to the park, what other options do I have for Mass?

Father Tim will hold a 5:00 p.m. Mass on Sunday, May 19 at St. John for those who are unable to join us for the Picnic in the Park.  But we really hope you can come to the park!
