Special thanks to everyone who, in some way, helped to make our 150th Anniversary Fishing Tournament fundraiser successful. We were able to sell 390 barbecue dinners. After expenses were tallied, money raised from the rod raffle, split the pot, sponsor donations, tournament entry fees, t-shirts, online auction and concessions sold at Big Bass Marina totaled $12,781.56. Although our parish has many needs, God continues to bless us to be able to meet those needs. Again, we thank everyone from St. John and St. Terence who helped in any way at all. May God continue to bless you!
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Parish is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2021. To mark this milestone in our church's history, we have events planned from June-November. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate the impact that our community of faith has had on Sabine Parish over the last 150 years.
Our celebration kicks off June 27th with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 11:00AM, followed by an anniversary luncheon. Bishop Francis Malone of the Diocese of Shreveport will join us, along with honored guest Archbishop Christophe Pierre, the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States.
