What is ACTS?
ACTS is a parish-based retreat and ministry. The purpose of an ACTS retreat is to provide opportunities for each retreatant to form a deeper relationship with our Lord through adoration and daily prayer, community with others, theology by the study of Faith, and through service to our family, Church, and each other.

2024 men's retreatThe Men's ACTS retreat is a mission of St. Jude Catholic Church in Benton and is hosted by lay members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and other local parishes/churches.
Diocesean Policy requires that all retreat participants must be 18 or over at the time of the retreat.
The retreat will be held January 25-28 at Maryhill Renewal Center in Pineville, LA. Roundtrip transportation is provided for all participants. We will depart from St. John at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, and the retreat will conclude following the 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. John on Sunday, January 31.

How much does it cost?
The cost of the retreat is $200 (room and board). A deposit of $75 must be submitted to reserve your place. The remaining balance of $125 is due on Thursday, January 25 before departing the church.
Please note: Financial difficulties should not prevent anyone from attending the retreat. If you are unable to pay all or part of the fee, financial arrangements can be made by notifying the retreat director, Hank Boggs at 318-218-8652.
