On November 9, 2022 the Diocese of Shreveport appointed Reverend Peter Romanus Mallya, FMH, as temporary Parochial Vicar at St. John the Baptist and St. Terence. Father Peter is from the Catholic Diocese of Moshi Tanzania (Mount Kilimanjaro).
After high school, Father Peter attended Dar es Salaam School of Accountancy, studied Philosophy at Apostles of Jesus Major Seminary at Langata, Karen and Theology at Tangaza University of Eastern Africa. We are blessed to have Father Peter as part of our church family! Please help us extend a warm welcome as he makes Many his new home.
The 2022 Annual Diocesan Stewardship Appeal has launched. Our main objective this year is to increase parishioner participation. We need your help! Prayerfully consider your support which is so vital for the Church to fulfill her mission, which includes supporting Retired and Infirmed priests, Religious Education and Faith Formation, Seminarian Education, Hispanic Ministries, Charitable Outreach, Catholic Schools, the Catholid Connection, etc. Remember: No gift is too small if it is given from a generous heart.
How do I provide this support? Stewardship Appeal material have already been mailed to each Catholic home in the Diocese of Shreveport. Brochures and return envelopes are available in the back of the church at both St. John the Baptist and St. Terence Misson. You may also follow this link to make you donation online: DONATE NOW!
